Real life “Hannibal Lecter” killed by police after eating his girlfriend’s face

A 34-year old man dubbed the “Hannibal Lecter killer”, died after police tasered him, when staff at a Welsh hotel found him “gouging out girlfriend’s eyeballs and eating her face.”

Matthew Williams was killed when police fired a 50,000-volt taser to try and stop the brutal attack. He died later in police custody.

The 22-year old victim of the attack has been named by police as Cerys Marie Yemm. She was pronounced dead at the bed and breakfast in Argoed, in the Valleys of Wales.

Gwent Police issued a statement on the incident: “a Taser was discharged and a 34-year-old local man was arrested”.

Adding: “Whilst under arrest, the man became unresponsive. Officers and paramedics administered first aid but he was also pronounced dead at the scene.”

Williams had recently served half of a five-year prison sentence for a violent attack on a partner, Wales News Service reports. Gwent Police said a murder investigation is currently underway into the death of the woman.
