Family overwhelmed by loss over US shootings

The parents of an American woman shot dead along with her nine-month-old daughter, have said they are “overwhelmed by loss”.

Rachel Entwistle, 27, and baby Lillian were found dead in their US home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, a week ago.

Her family said they were confident her killer would be brought to justice.

British husband Neil Entwistle, 27, has been named “a person of interest” by US investigators after he flew to the UK before the bodies were discovered.

A funeral for Mrs Entwistle and her daughter will be held in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on Wednesday.

In a statement read by family friend and former state police commander Joe Flaherty, Mrs Entwistle’s mother and stepfather, Priscilla and Joseph Matterazzo, said: “We are grateful for the outpouring and prayers of love and support offered by family, friends and strangers alike.
